Thin and Healthy - Do These Always Go Together?

Contrary to popular belief, thin does not equal healthy.
Yes, many thin people are healthy, however, there are thousands of thin people that consume enough fat in their diet to clog a city sewer pipe.
Although these individuals may appear healthy on the outside, in reality they are very unhealthy and vulnerable to various kinds of medical problems.
They are clearly benefiting from their contributing gene pool because they are certainly doing their bodies no favors.
Ironically, some thin people can have abnormally high body fat percentages.
It goes back to that starvation thing and the body burning muscle instead of fat for energy.
Have you ever seen someone that was thin but their arms were flabby like they had no muscle tone? Yeah, we've all seen the flabby arms.
Some of those people also omit exercise from their lifestyle because weight loss is not an issue.
This worsens the body fat percentage enigma.
My point is that being thin does not exempt you from all health issues.
Getting thin for some overweight individuals is a huge accomplishment and can remedy many ailments but it is not a cure all.
Heart disease and some other conditions have killed just as many thin people as they have those which are heavy.
There is no substitution for a thorough examination from your physician.
Through physical exams, blood work and a whole host of other resources they have available for your benefit, you can get a more accurate picture of your overall health.
Don't take for granted that being thin means you are healthy.
The road to a healthy body is paved with regular exercise and a sensible eating plan which includes a balanced diet.
Anyone, barring some unique individual situation, can certainly benefit from a healthy lifestyle when it comes to eating and physical activity.
