How to Make an Earring Holder With a CD
- 1). Measure 1 inch from the outer edge of the CD. Make a small dot with a permanent marker.
- 2). Repeat step above 1/4 inch away from the initial dot. Continue all around the CD until the entire CD is filled with dots 1/4 inch away from one another and 1 inch from the edge.
- 3). Measure 1/2 inch from the outer edge. Make a small dot with a permanent marker.
- 4). Measure 1/2 inch from the outer edge, 3 inches away from the dot above. Make a small dot with a permanent marker.
- 5). Drill tiny holes into all of the dots that outline the CD. Drill holes that will fit an earring post and not too much larger.
- 6). Drill larger holes in the remaining two dots that are 3 inches apart. Drill holes that will fit your chosen ribbon.
- 7). Insert the ribbon through one of the large holes at the top of the CD. String the ribbon through to the second large hole. Tie the two ribbon ends together to form a double knot. Make a decorative bow over the knot, if desired.
- 8). Hammer a nail into the wall near your jewelry box, over your dresser or wherever you would like to hang your CD earring holder.
- 9). Insert earrings into the holes until filled. Add a pair of earrings to one hole to keep pairs together, or add only one earring per hole, depending on the size of the earrings and the holes.

Hang the ribbon onto the nail and position the CD, so it hangs flush against the wall. . Adjust the CD until the earrings hang down without tangling.
