  Elders in assisted living or nursing homes sometimes encounter a sense of isolation. Give a senior citizen a gift he can share with his elder neighbors. Fill a basket with food, games and magazines. Add organic muffins, crackers, a selection of cheeses and hot cocoa mixes. Ask the senior's care giver if he has any dietary rules. Include a cribbage board and a set of dominoes to bring folks together. Place a few recent issues of magazines for the residents to share.
