Creative Ideas for Glow in the Dark Body Paint

    • Glow-in-the-dark body paint has tons of fun uses! Most people consider the more common uses, such as making a mask or using it at a night club. However, the possibilities for playing with this type of paint are endless and great for a variety of occasions. Consider some unique, creative ideas for using glow-in-the-dark body paint.

    Neon Skeleton

    • Used for a fun (though possibly risqué) Halloween costume, a skeleton will leave onlookers in awe. Be as detailed or as limited as you wish. Be sure that the place you plan to display your artwork has no problem with you wearing minimal clothing (think bra and underwear for women and Speedos for men). If not, then you will have to cover up a bit more; a black cat-suit or opaque body stocking may work well. Trace along the perimeter of bones. Keep in mind that not all body parts have bones. If you stick to areas that have them, it will be easier to get a more accurate painting.

    Pregnancy Glow

    • Using body paint on a pregnant mom's belly is a creative way to play with glow-in-the-dark body paint. Ideally, you should wait until the expecting mom is showing fairly prominently to ensure you have a maximum-sized canvas. Write on mom's belly, draw an outline of the baby's position or make some abstract artwork. The mom is sure to love it, and it will make an excellent pregnancy souvenir. Remember to take pictures!

    Who Did It?

    • A fun game involves using yellow glow in the dark body paint (or another color that will not show in regular light). Creatively paint the face of the "culprit" as you tell mystery story involving everyone in the room. Players guess who "committed the crime," and then the truth is revealed--when the lights go out! An alternative is to play catch someone "red handed" using red glow in the dark body paint. You can really get creative with horror stories. Guests will be surprised to learn that the person they thought was their "partner" in the game is the enemy! Here are some great "murder mysteries" to tell!

    Temporary Tatoos

    • The creative minds behind "Be Wild" have some neat pictures of creative art done on bodies, as well as some painted-on tattoos. Do simple designs, or more elaborate ones, like Henna tattoos. Either way, the tattoos wash right off and will get you some looks in dark places!
