Personal Color Analysis: You Can Be More Than One Season
Color analysis has come a long way since then. Due to the research that has been done on color, it is now known that not everyone is simply warm or cool. There is also the neutral category,  With this new understanding of color and how it applies to humans, color analysis has become more personal. Having a personal color analysis done, means that you are not just lumped into one category. You unique skintones and combination of hair, eye, and skin colors are used to create a palette that is perfect for you.
This has been known for years. In the late 1970s, the book "Color Me A Season" was published. It was written by Bernice Kentner and she has 16 categories listed in her book. There are 4 absolute seasons and the others are blends of different seasons. Even before this time, there were women who are not well known today, who have been helping others decide what colors look best on them. For example, they knew from observation that someone could be light, bright and soft.
There are so many possiblities that exist for color combinations of skin, hair and eyes. Someone may have cool hair, warm skin and eyes. Another may have warm hair and cool skin and eyes. There are others with a neutral hair color and a moderately warm skintone and eyes. With these and other color combinations, it is impossible to fit everyone into neat little categories or season. Only a few are completely warm or completely cool.
With this understanding of personal coloring, it is important to find a color analyst who is creative enough to create a palette that is right for you. This means that no one can copy your style or your unique blend of colors. They will be just right for you.
