Niche Affiliate Marketing - A Discussion on Profitability

There are many ways to conduct Niche Affiliate Marketing.
There are, however, only a few of those ways that actually make the big bucks for those who do it right.
If you learn how to perform the right strategies the right way you can make a fortune online.
It's just a matter of where you get your information and then taking the time to learn how it's done.
Let's discuss briefly, the best way to discover a profitable niche.
Think of everyday things that people might want to learn more about.
Think about things that you could provide information for that people would be interested in learning about.
Visit eBay or Amazon to find out what people are buying or what people are interested in.
Go to a large bookstore near you and look at the magazine section.
There are tons of topics for niches there.
Then once you have a list of niche topics use a good keyword tool (Wordtracker, Overture) to discover the most searched keywords.
Now, once you have your keyword list you need to sort through and find which keywords are going to be profitable.
Go to Google and enter in each keyword, one at a time, into the search box (with quotations around the word) and click to see the results.
Why quotations around the keyword? This will bring back results with sites that are optimized for that keyword.
These sites will be your true competition.
Niche affiliate marketing is all about results and what you do with those results! Now, once your results are in take a look at how many sites Google returned.
Is it a lot (over a million?) If so scrap that keyword.
You want to try and find keywords with as little competition as possible so you can really and truly dominate that niche.
Ideally, anything under 100,000 searches would be best.
Now, once you find a keyword that brings back results lower than 100,000 there are additional factors that you have to look for.
Take a look at each site's page rank.
You can find tools online that you can put on your browser that will give you the page rank of each site.
You want a majority of the top ten search results to have low page ranks (preferably 3 and below).
A higher page rank means the site is more relevant and Google likes it so it will be harder to rise above.
Also look at the Alexa ranking.
You can also find tools that you can install on your browser that will allow you to see each sites Alexa ranking.
Alexa ranks sites based on searches and popularity.
Generally you want to see that most of the sites in the top ten have an Alexa rating above 100,000.
These are the two main points you want to focus on when building your niche keyword list.
You do need to check each keyword on your niche list this way.
I know it sounds like a lot of work but it will pay off if you do it right.
No sense in trying to build an affiliate niche campaign on keywords that aren't profitable.
If you do you'll do a lot of hard work for nothing.
Niche affiliate marketing is a science that must be learned.
Find a great system that shows you the specifics, and you'll be on your way to making it big.
