The Diet Smart Plan or TDSP is the brainchild of Barry Sanders.
It is smart because it does not involve drastic changes, which would result to negative health issues in the end.
It is not very restrictive as nothing is forbidden and it is very easy, with only three steps to follow.
Easy As One, Two and Three The main concept of TDSP is calorie intake counting.
There are no long guides to memorize as you are only required to memorize three numbers, which are eight, eleven and your own weight.
To reach your weight goal, multiply your own weight to eight and the total product is the total amount of calories you are allowed to take in a day.
For your maintenance, multiply it by eleven The second and best part of TDSP is that you are required to eat as often as five to six times a day.
That will be three full meals and snacks in between.
The third part is that you are required to weigh yourself in the morning and in the evening.
This way you are aware of your progress and at the same time motivated to move along the diet plan.
The Food Groups The plan involves five food categories.
First is the free foods, which are vegetables and these do not form part of your calorie counting so you may eat as much as you can stomach.
Basic foods are those that will form the major part of your daily menu but are calorie-counted.
Those that belong to the group are baked potatoes, lean meats, rice and fruits.
Single portion foods are those that you are allowed to take once a day, they serve as your guilty pleasures and among those that belong are ice cream and even steaks.
Modified foods are those that come in low-calorie variants, and are counted using the lower numbers, like milk and yogurt.
Limited foods are those that are not entirely prohibited but must be taken as rarely as once a week.
Thus, you can grab a serving of baked macaroni every Saturday.
Just follow the simple eating plan of TDSP, add a regular exercising regimen, and get ready to say hello to a new and lighter you!
