Finding Ruto and Dungeon Map

• 1). Make your way to the Water Temple after rescuing King Zora. The water level will be lowered. Put on your Zora Tunic and iron boots and walk towards the water. Shoot the switch above the gate with your hookshot to open the gate. Sink down to enter.
  
  
• 2). Put your normal boots back on and float back to the surface. Walk into the room ahead, and put the iron boots back on to sink to the very bottom. Walk to to the door along the right. You will find Princess Ruto, who will ask you to follow her.
  
  
• 3). Remove your iron boots, float up and follow her. Climb out of the water, and go through a door and kill four spikes. A treasure will appear with the dungeon map inside.
  
  

Dragon Statue

• 1). Come back out and stand in front of the Triforce symbol. Play Zelda's Lullaby to lower the water level. Drop down the hole you floated through, and light the torches. The door will open. Inside, kill the three creatures to make a treasure appear. Come back to the central area. Climb on the platform and push the block into the wall until it drops in the water. Put on the iron boots and fall down after it.
  
  
• 2). At the end of the passage, take off your boots to rise to the surface. Hit the switch in the next room to give you a way to cross the chasm. Go through the door and look for a square pool. Sink down and shoot the switch in the dragon's mouth to raise the underwater gate.
  
  
• 3). Take off the iron boots and climb up to open a chest containing a small key. Hit the switch, put your iron boots on and drop in the water again. Go back to the room with the dragon and float up. Fire your hookshot to get to the other side. Exit through the door.
  
  
• 4). Sink to the bottom of the water, and follow the passageway to the end. Use your hookshot to pull yourself out by hitting a circular object on the wall. Go back to the central area, turn right and enter the next tunnel. Blow up the gap in the ground, and sink down.
  
  

Getting the Compass

• 1). Run to the end of the passageway and go to the surface. Stand on the switch on the platfrom to raise the water level. Shoot the hookshot at the statue to get over to that side. Hit the diamond switch to raise the bars, then drop into the water and go back down the hole. Return through the tunnel and float up.
  
  
• 2). Return to the central room and find the locked door. Find the platform with spikes on both sides. At the end, shoot your hookshot to pull you up. Play Zelda's Lullaby on the Triforce symbol. Sink down to find a revealed hole. Drop down and hit the diamond switch.
  
  
• 3). Kill the enemies that drop down. This will open up a gate. Go in and open a chest with a small key inside. Go back to the central room. Get on the floating block and jump over to a locked door, go through and back to the central room.
  
  
• 4). Run until you see a ledge with two jars. Jump to it and follow the hall until you see spikes. Pull yourself over using the hookshot. Look back and aim at the farthest of three circular objects. Pull yourself back over. Hit the diamond switch and open the chest to find the compass.
  
  

Finding Your Shadow

• 1). Go back to the central area. Sink down with your iron boots to the tunnel directly below. Inside the tunnel, switch boots and rise to the surface. You should be in the room you met Ruto in. Bomb the wall that looks out of place. Open the chest inside. Return back to the central area, and get on the ledge around the middle structure.
  
  
• 2). Go to the other side of the room and shoot across to the locked door. Go inside and get on the water fountain. Shoot the switch to make the fountain rise to a new room. There will be another Triforce symbol. Play Zelda's Lullaby to raise the water.
  
  
• 3). Jump down onto the middle ground. Run counterclockwise and a passage will open. Walk to it and sink down. Go down the path and pull the block at the end. Return to the central area and go to the opposite side. Open the locked door and go through. Jump down to the moving section below, and leap off at the bottom.
  
  
• 4). Shoot the circular object on the wall. Run down the tunnel and through the door. Shoot the red switch inside. Go to the first statue, and hit the switch again. Shoot the circle on the wall and strike the switch again, pulling youself to the next statue. Hit the switch again. Climb on the statue and shoot the switch for the final time. Jump on the ledge and then pull yourself across spikes.
  
  
• 5). Defeat Dark Link and open the door to find the longshot item.
  
  

Boss Key and Boss Battle

• 1). Play the Song of Time and jump in the hole that appears. Hug the left wall to get past the vortex. Put on iron boots and go around the corner, hugging the right wall. Swim right towards the ledge. Swim to the platform on the opposite side and shoot the golden eye switch. Go into the doorway and open the chest.
  
  
• 2). The tunnel will take you back to the dragon room. Sink in the water, and go back to the central area. Drop to the very bottom of the area. Go into the tunnel on the right side, and float up to the top and play the Zelda's Lullaby to lower the water. Jump down the hole, and go back to the central area.
  
  
• 3). Head left to the door in the middle structure. Inside, use your longshot to get to the very top. Drop down to the second floor and walk out. Head left to the opposite side and shoot the eye on the wall with your bow to open a gate. Use your longshot to get in the tunnel. Run to the end and push the red block to get to a treasure.
  
  
• 4). Go back out and shoot across to the next ledge. Drop down to the main floor and enter the tunnel at the north side of the map. Shoot across to get to a door. Once inside,wear the iron boots and head to the other side, avoiding the heavy rocks. Go into the door. Fall down to the bottom right and blow up the wall.
  
  
• 5). Pull the block as far as it can go, and then go to the bottom left side and blow that wall up. Push the block the rest of the way into the water. This will hit a switch, which will raise the water. Go up the large steps into the door. Step on the switch to open the bars over the door. Jump across the water and exit. Put on your iron boots and wait for the swinging rock to pass you.
  
  
• 6). After you pass it, float to the surface and go through the hallway and through the door. The boss key is in the treasure chest.
  
  
• 7). Find the boss. Go back to the central room and into the middle structure. Go to the very top, find the Triforce symbol, and play Zelda's Lullaby. Shoot the dragon statue to reach the far ledge, and go through the door. Enter the boss door, fight Morpha, and complete the Water Temple.
