First off, do not listen to anyone who tells you to eat whatever is in sight.
The "see-food" diet will only make you extremely fat.
If you are very skinny, then increasing your calorie intake by eating whatever is in sight will only get you the "skinny-fat" look.
I am assuming you are trying to build muscles and not fat.
There are also people out there who would tell you, "Oh, just eat 6,000 calories per day and you will build mass.
" Don't listen to that garbage.
Mass Building Diet You will have to eat clean about roughly eighty percent of the time if you are looking for a clean bulk without too much fat.
Stick to mostly whole-grain, lean meat such as chicken breast and fish, eggs, nuts, fruits, etc.
Gradually increase your calorie intake instead of going from 2,000 to 6,000 all of a sudden.
For example, start eating about 500 calories more per day for 2 weeks.
Check the scale to see if there is any weight gain.
If there is no gain, then continue to repeat the step by adding another 500 calories for another 2 more weeks.
The reason why you want to take it slowly is to not build up too much fat.
You will gain a lot of fat if you decide to eat too much too fast.
The reason why many bodybuilders look pregnant on their bulking phase is because they are eating a lot more than necessary.
You have to be patient if you want better results.
Eat 5-6 meals per day instead of the typical three.
That way you can eat less calories in one sitting so you can ensure that the food that you consume are feeding your muscles and burning for energy.
If you eat too much all at once, most of the calories will be stored as fat.
