There are some of the things you own that can be lost or misplaced during the process of moving.
Under stress, there is a tendency that one can forget some of his or her belongings.
In moving from you original place and into a new one, being forgetful can really do a number on you.
Your move might be within the city, state, country or maybe even overseas, but one thing's for sure.
Once you forget that certain something back where you originally were, getting it back can be tedious as well as taxing.
Since this is about forgetting items, here is a list of some of the items that someone who moves constantly forget: - Items such as clothes you sent to the Laundromat, things that you have sent to be repaired(like some appliance, for example) and stuff that your neighbors or friends borrowed from you can be forgotten very easily when one is in the process of relocation.
One forgets about these things since they are not readily seen.
It can prove difficult to list down this sort of stuff though thinking about them can help you remember.
- The phone numbers you have had for the longest time is also easily forgotten during moving.
To not forget about them, bring along your whole directory since these numbers are a tool for you to keep in touch with the people you left behind, like some friends for example.
- Pets have a tendency to be overlooked during your move, adding to that is the fact that there are moving companies that have a policy that discourages pets in getting "packed.
" Just in case, make sure to include your dog and cat when you do the move.
- The valuables you hid within the walls of your soon-to-be former place are also some of the things that are easily forgotten when moving.
Remember, remove them before the move.
- Records get forgotten all the time in this situation.
Just make sure to place them in a container and to label it afterwards.
- Do not forget your keys and their duplicates so you could give them up to the next potential owner of your former place.
- Leave a "change of address" note.
Many people who move forget to do this.
In forgetting to leave this note, you run the risk of not being able to receive mail, packages and the like.
- Call to tell the proper authorities that you're no longer using any of the utilities.
If you don't, you bills are going to accumulate and it might haunt you later.
- Checking and re-checking anything and everything you have installed when you were there in your former place.
- Updating your financial obligations.
Make sure that you have quick access to cash just in case something happens.
Take note of all of this and your relocation will be more convenient.
