Two Article Description Examples

Most descriptions of articles really are about as boring as the example I gave at the beginning of this article. And I really could give you a boring description. For example, let's look at two different descriptions of this article:

Description 1 - This article is about how to write article descriptions that are not boring.

Description 2 - Do you know how most marketers mess up their article description and turn them into a horrible mess? Read on to discover a works-every-time formula for creating article descriptions that pull in the prospects.

Now which one would you want to read?

Your Article Description Formula

Here's your formula - Ask a question, promise the answer. Simple as that, in just two steps:

Step 1 - Ask a question related to either the pain/problem of your topic, or something your prospect really wants/needs to know. When you ask a question, you engage your prospect because they want to know the answer to the question.

Example: "Do you know how most marketers mess up their article description and turn them into a horrible mess?"

Step 2 - Promise the answer within the article body. Once you make this promise you must make sure you deliver on it. In other words, don't promise something that you cannot deliver or plan not to deliver on.

Example: "Read on to discover a works-every-time formula for creating article descriptions that pull in the prospects."
