  Wellington is located in Palm Beach County, Florida. Wellington first began to be developed in the early 1950's. The initial purpose of Wellington was to provide drainage and flood control in an attempt to make the land suitable for agriculture. Wellington successfully became an incorporated village on December 31st, 1995. Wellington is known for its wonderful climate, affluence, and as being the winter equestrian capital of the world.
