Fish Tales Bar & Grill

• Operating since 1983, Fish Tales Bar & Grill has gone from a little known fish joint for locals to a popular seafood restaurant catering to tens of thousands of vacationers each year. Located at Bahia Marina in Ocean City, the family oriented eatery features a "Lil Skippers" kids menu, an arcade and a playground with a pirate ship. Fish Tales is open daily for lunch and dinner, and it serves everything from pizza and burgers to chicken and pasta. Known for its appetizers, the restaurant serves calamari and Thai shrimp for $10 each, with mini crab quesadillas priced at $13. Of course, the restaurant specializes in fresh seafood with a menu that includes fish and chips, coro coro tacos, rockfish filet, steamed clams and garlic mussels, each just $10 a plate. Dinner platters, such as twin filet of flounder, jumbo stuffed shrimp and roasted whole lobster, range in price from $17 to $38 as of 2010. Additionally, a full bar menu is available.

The Red Roost

• The Red Roost, "the original all-you-can-eat crab house," is located near the Wicomico River in Whitehaven. Originally a Perdue chicken house, the building was restored and turned into a seafood restaurant in 1974. Since that time, diners by the boatloads have been enjoying the house specialties of Maryland blue crabs, fried shrimp, corn on the cob and its famous fried chicken. In addition to its full bar menu, The Red Roost also offers a wide array of appetizers, including seared tuna, crab balls and barbequed shrimp, as well as chicken, ribs and pasta dishes. Seafood platters, such as snow crab clusters, stuffed flounder and fried sea scallops, range in price from $17 to $25 as of 2010.

Chesapeake Landing Seafood Restaurant and Carry-Out

• Located about 10 miles outside the center of St. Michaels, Chesapeake Landing Seafood Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The casual, family owned dining eatery not only serves seafood, but traditional and classic American dishes as well. Known for its Maryland blue crabs and steamed shrimp, all-you-can-eat crabs go for $24 and all-you-can-eat shrimp costs $13 per person. Entrees average in price at $20 and include hot rolls, homemade corn bread and two veggies. In addition, the establishment sells a wide variety of fresh seafood at its on-site fish market.
