How to Play Build-a-Lot 2 Game
- 1). Open Build-a-Lot 2 and click "Play Campaign" to start a new game. The game will ask you to go through a tutorial. If you have already played, press the "Skip Tutorial" button in the upper left hand corner of the screen after the game starts.
- 2). Click the "Money & Goals" tab to see what goals you have to reach to successfully complete that level. To earn money for buying items, you'll collect rent. Rent is shown under this tab and is collected automatically over a period of time. The rent meter shows how much longer until you collect rent. The current and potential rent income, listed underneath the rent meter, shows how much your rental properties are worth.
- 3). Click an empty lot when it says "For Sale" to buy it. A lot with equipment on it is already yours. Click a home that says "For Sale" to purchase it. The for sale signs will disappear after a certain period of time.
- 4). Click the "Materials" tab to buy more materials when you run out. Click the "Workers" tab to purchase additional workers so you can work on multiple projects at once.
- 5). Click a lot of land you own and choose "Build" to construct a house. Choose the type of house you want from the options that appear. Click the "Blueprints" tab to purchase blueprints for new homes. Certain blueprints will not be available until later in the game.
- 6). Click a home after it has been built. You can choose to sell the home for money when you're in desperate need of fast cash. You can also choose to paint the home. This increases "Curb Appeal." Certain levels require you have a set number of curb appeal points to continue.
- 7). Complete the goal of having a rental value of a certain amount of money by upgrading and buying new homes. This value is not based on how much rent you collect, but on how much the homes are worth. Upgrade a house by clicking on it and choosing "Upgrade." A house can be upgraded a maximum of three times.
- 8). Buy blueprints for other facilities, such as parks, after they have been unlocked. The level will tell you when a new type of home or facility is available. Build these facilities the same way you built your houses.
- 9). Click a home or an empty lot that is for sale and choose "Offer Less" or "Low Ball" if there are several items just like this one for sale. The owner may give you a cheaper deal. "Low Ball" doesn't work as often as simply choosing "Offer Less."

Click a house and choose "Sell" to sell it. Once you get an offer, click "Accept" or "Decline" based on whether or not you wish to accept the offer. - 11
Keep an eye on the deadline meter in the upper left hand corner of the screen. It slowly counts down how much time you have left to meet all your goals. Complete the goals with enough extra time remaining and you will earn an efficiency star.
