    Hang From a Ribbon

    • 1). Choose a wide ribbon that is strong enough to hold the mirror. Cut the ribbon to the desired length. Be sure to cut the ribbon long enough so that when you fold it in half, the mirror is at the height you would like it to be.

    • 2). Attach the ribbon to the back of the mirror. If the mirror has a backing made from material or paper, you may be able to staple the ribbon. Staple one end of the ribbon on one side of the mirror and the other end on the opposite side, evenly apart and level. You could also attach the ribbon to the mirror using heavy-duty glue. If your mirror has holes at the top, thread the ribbon through these holes so that the ends come out of the back.

    • 3). Hang the ribbon on a hook on the wall at your desired height. You could also nail the ribbon to the wall and hide it by attaching a bow over the nail.

    Using Clips

    • 1). Purchase hanging clips from the hardware store or use the clips that may have come with your mirror. Some clips screw into place, while others are spring loaded. Choose whichever clip you feel is more appropriate for the task.

    • 2). Attach the clip to the mirror. Some clips screw into the bottom and the top of the mirror, while others are attached to the back of the mirror. Follow the directions that come with your particular type of clip.

    • 3). Place 1-to-2-inch-long foam bumpers on the back of the mirror, about 6 inches inside. Doing so will help to keep the mirror in place.

    • 4). Choose where you want to hang the mirror. Hold the mirror against the wall and use a pencil to mark the sides, top and bottom of the mirror. Use a level to make sure the marks are even.

    • 5). Attach the mirror to the wall using the clips. Each clip attaches differently; therefore, read the directions on the package label.
