• Introduced in 1999, the Ford F-250 is a full-size pickup truck that belongs to the Ford Motor Company's Super Duty brand. As of September 2010, the current model-year entry is the 2011 Ford F-250, and is in its second generation of production. Available as a rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, the F-250's trim levels are divided mainly according to bed and cab size.
  
  

Engines and Transmission

• Depending on trim combination, the 2011 Ford F-250 comes with either a 6.2-liter gasoline V-8 engine with a 16-valve single overhead camshaft design or a turbocharged 6.7-liter V-8 engine with a 32-valve overhead camshaft design. The 6.2-liter engine produces 385 horsepower at 5,500 revolutions per minute (rpm) and torque of 405 pound-feet at 4,500 rpm, while the 6.8-liter engine produces 390 horsepower at 2,800 rpm and 735 pounds-feet of torque at 1,600 rpm.   As the largest cab size, the crew cab-equipped trucks have headroom of 41 inches and legroom of 42 inches, larger than the super cab's 38 inches of headroom and 32 inches of leg room.
