Which Classic Motorcycle to Buy

106 23
Buying a classic motorcycle requires a lot of consideration, especially if the would-be owner is new to classic motorcycles in particular or motorcycles in general.

There are numerous types and sizes to choose from and, in general, there are many available. As with most purchases, the budget available will dictate, to a large extent, what motorcycles can be purchased. However, the buyer must decide what type of riding he or she will be doing if the machine is to be ridden at all—some owners only wish to display or show their bikes.

Type of Riding

Assuming the classic is to be ridden, the next consideration must be given to the type of riding the owner will be doing. For example, will the bike be used for the occasional Sunday afternoon ride in summer, or will it be a daily commuter? Often the riding falls between the two.

With a budget in place and the choice of machine depending on its usage only, the selection process begins to take shape.
