    • In the mid-1960s and serving farms well into the 1980s was the Allis-Chalmers 615 backhoe/loader with its 56.8-horsepower 3.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline-powered engine. A 44-horsepower diesel version was also available. The gasoline 615 had a compression ratio of 8-to-1 with a 3.5625-inch bore and 4.375-inch stroke. The more common 2.9-liter diesel version had a 15.5-to-1 compression ratio to generate 44 horsepower. A larger 3.3-liter diesel developed 57 horsepower with a 16.25-to-1 compression ratio.

    • Allis-Chalmers produced the 7580 model from 1977 to 1981. The 7580 was equipped with an intercooled turbocharged diesel in-line six-cylinder displacing a massive 7 liters. The engine's bore was 4.25 inches and the stroke was 5 inches. Its horsepower rating was 153.

    8050

    • A 153-horsepower turbocharged straight-six diesel engine powered the Allis-Chalmers 8050 from 1982 to 1985, making it one of the last models to roll off the factory floor. The engine displaced 7 liters and featured the same cylinder bore and stroke dimensions as the 7-liter diesel found on the previous 7580 models. The 8050's engine had a compression ratio of 15.5-to-1.
