Setup

• To enlarge the image you want to use, you first have to load your image onto your computer. The best way is to simply transfer the image directly from your digital camera via the USB cord. Or you could insert media containing the image (such as a CD or SD card) into a drive and transfer it. You could also scan it in, but this will result in a lower quality image, making it harder to do a good enlargement of the image.
  
  

Bicubic Smoother

• Recent versions of Photoshop include a new feature called "Bicubic Smoother" that makes enlarging images easier. Select "File" and click "Open." Browse to the image you uploaded and open it. Select "Image" from the menu and click "Image Size." At the bottom of the dialog box that opens change the "Interpolation" from "Bicubic" to "Bicubic Smoother." Increase the width and height of the image to what you need for your project. Then click "OK." You can now save your resized image as a high resolution JPEG. If you have an earlier version of Photoshop that doesn't have the "Bicubic Smoother" option, you will have to use the "Step Approach."
  
  

The Step Approach

• In this method, the fuzziness of an enlargement is reduced by doing the enlargement as series of steps. With the image open in Photoshop, select "Image" from the menu and click "Image Size." In the dialog box that opens set the "Interpolation" at the bottom to "Bicubic." Increase the pixel width and height by 10 percent and click "OK."Repeat this as many times as it takes to get the image to the size you need for your project. When you are finished save your resized image as a high resolution JPEG.
