Fixing the Issue in Registry Editor

• In some cases Internet options won't open in IE7 because, for an unknown reason, the "NoBrowserOptions" registry key is turned on in the IE7 registry options. Fortunately, resolving this issue can be done quickly and easily. Click on the "Start" button located in the lower left corner of your desktop. Click on the "Run" button, type "CONTROL INETCPL.CPL" into the field and click "OK" or press "Enter" on the keyboard. Locate the "NoBrowserOptions" line by scrolling down and set the value to "0." Click on "File" and select "Save" from the drop menu. Restart your computer. You should now be able to access Internet options in IE7.
  
  

Delete Internet Cookies and Temporary Files

• In other scenarios, Internet options in IE7 are unable to open due to a conflicting cookie or temporary file. To solve this issue and regain access to Internet options, simply delete all Internet cookies and temporary files. To do this click on "Start," select "Run" and type "inetcpl" in the field. Press "OK" or "Enter" on your keyboard to open Internet preferences (this is different from Internet options). Click on the "Delete all..." button beneath both "Cookies" and Temporary File" information fields. Click on "Apply" located on the bottom right corner of the Internet preferences window and exit. Resetting Internet Explorer

• If the problem persists, try completely resetting IE7. To do this click on "Start," select "Run" and type "inetcpl" in the field. Press "OK" or "Enter" on your keyboard to access Internet preferences. Click on the "Advanced" tab located on the upper right corner of the Internet preferences window. Click "Reset" under "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" and then click "Reset" again in the dialogue box that automatically opens. Close Internet preferences when the reset has completed. Open IE7 and try to access the Internet options.
  
  

Uninstalling and Reinstalling

• If the problem continues to persist after attempting all the above suggestions try uninstalling and reinstalling IE7. To uninstall IE7 click on "Start" and select "Control Panel." Double click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon, find the IE7 program line and click "Uninstall." After IE7 has completely uninstalled download and install IE7 from Microsoft's website. If you continue to experience problems call a computer technician for help or switch to a different Internet browser.
