How to Make a Right-Handed Origami Boomerang
- 1). Fold a 5-by-5-inch square piece of paper in half. Open it up and fold it in half the other way along the same fold. Crease well. Rip the paper in half along the fold.
- 2). Fold one of the half pieces of paper in half lengthwise. Crease well.
- 3). Lay the paper down on a table. Fold the top half down so the top edge touches the fold. Fold the bottom edge up so it meets the fold.
- 4). Fold the paper in half along the width by bringing the left side to meet the right side. Crease well.
- 5). Lay the paper down on the table with the latest crease facing away from you and the unfolded edge closest to you. Fold the upper right corner down, so that the edge lays on the crease that is going down the middle of the paper. Repeat for the left side, then unfold both sides.
- 6). Repeat the corner folds on the other sides of the paper. Push in at the side to make a squash fold. Repeat for the other side.
- 7). Unfold the paper. Lay the long strip of paper on the table vertically. Unfold the right side, and turn the paper over.
- 8). Observe the diamond shape on the right side of the paper. Fold the paper along the fold in the middle of the diamond shape. Crease well, then unfold.
- 9). Push the side of the diamond shape in at the side of the paper, making a squash fold. Fold the corner of the diamond down. Fold the edges down flat along the folds that were already formed and you have a paper boomerang.
