How to Make an Animated GIF in Three Ways

An animated GIF is a short animation that consists of many individual animation frames that cycle through to create an animation effect.
The "GIF" stands for the graphics interchange format and is one of the most supported and popular web animation formats throughout the Internet.
It's actually very easy to learn how to make an animated GIF and there's more than one way to create an animation.
The first step is deciding how you want to make your animation as there's three different methods that you can use.
You'll need to use an animation program or tool to aid you in creating your animation.
I recommend Adobe Photoshop, which can create advanced animations and is very easy to use.
Here's how to make an animated GIF using three different methods.
The first way is to use an image sequence, or a group of similar photos taken of the same scene.
Many digital cameras can take an image sequence by rapidly snapping photos back-to-back.
You could also use a group of completely unrelated photos as an image sequence to create a slide-show effect.
The second way is to convert a video file directly into an animated GIF or into an image sequence which you can then turn into an animation.
You can take a video with a your own video camera or you could use a video from the Internet on sites such as YouTube.
It's fairly common to take a funny or interesting scene from a movie and convert it into a short animated GIF.
The third way to make an animated GIF is from scratch.
To make an animated GIF from scratch, you'll technically have to design each and every animation frame from the ground up using the design tools in animation software such as Photoshop, but there's a lot of tools you can use to move this process along.
You can also animate specific parts of an image or graphic, so you won't have to design each frame completely from scratch.
Since GIFs don't support sound at all, some comic strip artists or cartoonists may create short animations from scratch with sound bubbles based on their comics.
You can easily add text to individual frames to substitute for the lack of sound to display dialogue.
Before saving your animation you should specify the looping options.
Standard looping options include forever, once, or a custom number that you enter.
Most animations are set to play forever, which means the animation continuously replays forever once it's loaded.
To maximize the animations appearance, your animation should be difficult to tell where it actually starts and ends as it should smoothly loop, if you choose the forever looping option.
Short animations consist of only four to fifteen individual animation frames and are fairly short.
On many forums and websites where you have a user account, you may be able to set your profile picture as an animated GIF.
This is a great way to bring life and personality to your picture, and draw attention to your profile.
After saving your animation, you can preview it by launching it in any web browser such as Internet Explorer or Safari!
