Mandarin adjectives can be modified with intensifiers such as tài ? (too much) or feicháng ?? (extremely). One of the most common modifiers is you yidian, ??? (trad) ???(simp) which means a little bit.

Mandarin adjectives (also called adjectival stative verbs) usually have a modifier. Hen ? is used as a generic modifier. Even though it means very, hen is usually untranslated. Modifiers – including you yidian - appear before the adjective.
