Congratulations! It is my tenth anniversary and for the past two months I have been hinting to my husband that for my anniversary present, I would really appreciate a bottle of delicious smelling Bvlgari Perfume.
For the past ten months, each time we were in the mall, and we passed by a perfume stand or a fragrance store, I would say something like "oh, how nice it would be to have a bottle of Bvlgari perfume.
My friend has it and I found it to be the most fabulous smelling perfume in the world!" I figured after throwing out comments like that dozens of times over the past couple of months, it would be as clear as glass that he would buy it for me for my anniversary.
Well, today is my anniversary, and I just can't wait to get home! I could already smell the perfume from here in my office! Just ten more minutes and I will be on my way home to greet my long wished for present! I am now entering my home and I see something beautifully wrapped on the kitchen table.
Oh, that must be it! The perfume of my dreams! But wait, the box looks a little too big to be hosting a bottle of perfume! Well, maybe it is a very big bottle! Let me open it and check it out! I am just too excited! I open the box and there staring at me is another beautifully wrapped box! Wow, my husband is so creative! He decided to wrap my precious bottle of perfume with a ton of boxes just so I get fooled into thinking it is I something else! He is so funny! Ok, I think I am opening the very last box! I can just imagine spraying myself all over with it! Oh no, there must be some sort of terrible mistake! All that this box contains is a very fancy electric can opener, the latest make of its kind! I mean I'm sure it will come in handy, but I must be dreaming! This can't really be my tenth anniversary present! One moment later the door opens up and there is my dear husband standing with a huge smile on his face! "Happy Anniversary, honey, I hope you like the present.
I knew it is something you really could use, so I went to twenty three stores just to find the best, most updated, most expensive one in town! Use it in good health!" I am so touched by his love and care for me that he literally went to twenty three stores to search for a present for me, but I can't help but be blown away by how spaced out men could be! Oh, well, I guess I'll start putting away money to buy this perfume on my own.
But after all said and done, all I can say is that I learned a very important lesson.
When it comes to dealing with men, be very straight.
If you expect to get anything by merely hinting, you are in for a big surprise!
