Lycia (Milyas), the smallest province of Asia Minor, lay to the west of Pamphylia, south of Phryfia, and east of Caria. The sea was to its south. The original inhabitants of Lycia are the Solymi. The Lycians were renowned archers. Their land was mountainous, yet fertile, producing cedars.
