How to Convert Candlesticks to Tealight Holders

104 19
    • 1). Find a candlestick made to hold candles over an inch thick. You need the tealight to be able to fit inside the candlestick, and smaller candlesticks are only going to allow you to place a tealight on top of it, which is more susceptible to spills.

    • 2). Cut out any dried wax that may be in a used candlestick. You need all the room you can manage in order to smoothly slide the tealight into the candlestick. Use a razor blade to cut the larger pieces of wax out.

    • 3). Sand out any remnants of debris and wax that may still be in the candlestick. Once you are done sanding, wipe it off with a damp rag and pour the wax you removed out into the trash.

    • 4). Place the tealights inside the candlestick and light it. When the tealight has burned through, you can remove it by pressing against one of the sides of the tealight and pulling it up along the side of the candlestick.
