The Housework Connection

Dewi Cooke, in an article "Doing it together boosts fertility", reports on the importance of men "pulling their weight around the house."
Analyzing four years of data, researchers at the University of New South Wales released preliminary results:
  • The more housework a woman does, the less likely she is to have more children.
  • A man's risk of divorce decreases by 51% for every extra hour of housework that he does.

  • Add this information to the previous research that men who do their share of housework get more sex, it appears that there are plenty of incentives for husbands to not fuss about sharing household chores.
"Women find a man's willingness to do housework extremely erotic. When the husband does his share to maintain the home, both he and his wife report a more satisfying sex life than in marriages where the wife believes her husband is not doing his share."
