Will We Get Hemorrhoids Again After We Are Cured With Hemorrhoids Treatment?

So we're cured from hemorrhoids. Or so we think. There is really no absolute cure for hemorrhoids, as it can happen to us again if we don't take preventive measures.

We went through all the pain and went for different forms of hemorrhoids treatment to get away from the painful condition. We got pain relief supplements, we applied various creams and did sitz baths, and we consulted with our doctors. For those of us with worse hemorrhoids conditions, we went under an operation to stop the clotting and rid ourselves of the swollen hemorrhoids. And right when we can finally breathe a sigh of relief that we no longer have piles (the slang term for hemorrhoids), a thought crosses our mind. Is it possible that we will get hemorrhoids again after we just got cured?

The answer is an unfortunate "yes." Even if we went under surgery, it is still very possible that we can get hemorrhoids again. This is because we still have veins with flowing blood in our rectum no matter what. If we ever encourage strained bowel movements or the other causes of hemorrhoids again, we are most likely to end up with another painful and irritating condition.

The aim of most hemorrhoid treatments is to shrink the swollen hemorrhoid. Surgery can do this by preventing the flow of blood into getting into the hemorrhoid. Once this has been accomplished, the result will be a shrunken vein. This will eventually shrivel up and fall off. There will be a scar, but that's better than having a swollen hemorrhoid there, isn't it?

The point is, there is no definite cure to hemorrhoids. There is nothing stopping the condition from happening to us again. The supplements, the hemorrhoid treatments, the creams and applications, and even the surgeries.. they are not absolute cures. They only help with lessening the pain and taking away the swelling. It doesn't mean that the veins won't swell again and we won't hurt again because of them.

What we can do is to prevent it from happening to us again. The solution is to simply watch our diets and our bowel movements. If we keep our bowel habits strained and difficult, then we are sure to find ourselves facing hemorrhoids in the future. We have to avoid straining our rectum so as not to irritate the hemorrhoid veins.

Let us keep up with a healthy diet, too. We should not stop with our healthy habits just because we no longer have hemorrhoids. Let us maintain having high-fiber meals and lots of water intake. Aim for a smooth digestion, even when we do not have hemorrhoids at all. Smooth digestion ensures us that we are not only free of the painful condition. We can also be ensured that we can prevent other illnesses to befall us as well.

Now some of you may be thinking, "What is the point of all the supplements, creams, and surgery if it's only going to come back?" The answer to this question is quite simple. It is because the pain and the bleeding discomfort of hemorrhoids is just too much to take. The treatments we have right now may not be definite and absolute. But at the very least we are sure that hemorrhoids can be averted with the hemorrhoids treatment that we use.
