Simple Ways to Exercise Your Mind
"If you do not use it, you will lose it.
" I am sure you have heard that saying many times before and your probably going to hear it again many more times throughout the rest of your life.
It is a saying that has proved true for better or for worse for almost everyone at some point in their life.
This saying could not be more true then when your dealing with your mind.
The following page is just a simple list of some of the many things you can do to keep your mind at work throughout the day.
These exercises can help sharpen your memory and help you to think at a quicker pace then you normally would.
Your morning routine is where we will begin.
For a few simple mind exercises in the morning start with these.
When you brush your teeth use the opposite hand then the one you are used to using.
For example if you normally brush your teeth with your right hand then use your left.
This will force you to think a little more then your used to while doing this every day routine.
When you finally get used to using the opposite hand then switch back to the original.
Continue switching back and forth throughout your life.
Another thing you can do is switch up your morning routine completely.
An example of this would be if you usually brush your teeth, then shave and then shower, change the order.
Shave first, take your shower, and then brush your teeth last.
When you are going to work try taking a different route.
Now if your late I do not suggest this one but if you have the time then use the time to explore other roads you can use.
You may even find a safer and faster way to work, you never know.
This exercise also works on the way home.
Your nightly routine can be changed much like you did with your morning routine.
If you watch the news before bed then try reading a book instead.
If you wash your face then brush your teeth and finish by washing your hair then switch it up.
The trick is to constantly change things in your life that usually stay the same.
This will help exercise your mind and keep you more alert and in tune to the world around you.
