    • 3). Format your letter to the President correctly. The right way to address the President is: Dear Mr President or Dear Mr. President Obama.

    • 4). Keep your letter to the President kind and professional, even if you are unhappy about something. This relates to step 1. By thinking out your letter in advance and supporting your ideas or concerns and writing them in a professional manner, your letter is more likely to be taken seriously.

    • 5). Decide the exact way you want send a letter to the US President. You can contact the President at the White House in three different ways. The first way to write the President is via the White House website. I have included a link to the White House contact page in the resources below.
