How to Replace the String Line in an Electric Craftsman Edger Trimmer
- 1). Pop the spool out of the trimmer head by pressing in the two tabs on the spool's side.
- 2). Remove any dirt and leftover string pieces inside the spool. Pick up the new string line.
- 3). Connect the first inch of the string line into the spool's notch. This will secure the line so that it does not move during operation.
- 4). Wrap the rest of the string line around the spool until it is almost as wide as the spool. Allow for a little space to prevent line jams. Cut the extra line with the scissors.
- 5). Slide the freshly cut end of string through the eyelet in the trimmer head. Snap the spool into the head and it is now ready to cut.
