Temple Colors as Well as Structure Suggest Symbolism
Outside the temple the only color other than the white Alabama marble is the faceted glass windows on each end. At ground level, these windows are a vibrant red and orange. They continue toward yellow, becoming clearer, and then develop into purple, blue and finally white. White signifies purity and heaven.
Inside colors are just as dramatic. The lower levels of the temple have paneling and deep blue carpet.
In higher levels, the colors become lighter and purer. The Celestial room is completely white, with pale gold accents.
