    • 1). Pull approximately 8 inches of the serving material out of the serving jig and run 2 inches along the center of the area of the bowstring.

    • 2). Wrap the serving material around the string and the 2-inch piece of serving that is laying on the bowstring, using your hand. Start at the end of the 2-inch piece of serving that is still attached to the rest of the serving material and work your way down toward the other end, wrapping the string six times.

    • 3). Wind the serving tightly into the serving jig until the serving is tight to the bowstring, using the serving jig.

    • 4). Wrap the serving around the bowstring, using the serving jig, approximately six inches up and down the worn part of the bowstring.

    • 5). Hold the serving wraps tight and pull out around 9 inches of serving from the serving jig and cut it with the scissors.

    • 6). Keep the serving that is wrapped around the bowstring tight with your fingers and go down approximately 2 inches from the wrapped serving. Allow the end of the serving that is unused to make a 1-inch drop and wrap the end of the serving around the bowstring, inside of the drop you made, five times going toward the wrapped serving.

    • 7). Hold the loose serving over the already served portion of the bowstring and wind the drop around the string and loose end. Pull the remaining part of the loose end until no slack remains. Then, cut off the remaining serving that is hanging. Place a small squirt of glue over the end of the serving to keep it secure.
