How to Convert Table to Hierarchy
- 1). Open the Word document that contains the table.
- 2). Click the "Insert" tab on the command ribbon.
- 3). Click the "SmartArt" button in the "Illustrations" group. The "Choose a SmartArt Graphic" dialog window opens with a left pane and a right pane.
- 4). Click the "Hierarchy" option in the left pane. A gallery of "Hierarchy" graphics appears.
- 5). Click the preferred "Hierarchy" graphic on the right pane.
- 6). Click "OK." This graphic appears on the Word document. The "Hierarchy" contains text boxes.
- 7). Copy the text from a table cell.
- 8). Paste the text to a text box in the "Hierarchy" graphic. Continue copying and pasting the table cell text to the text boxes in the "Hierarchy" graphic.
- 9). Edit the layout in the "SmartArt Tools" ribbon. Click the "Hierarchy" graphic. The SmartArt tool ribbon appears.

Point over the different layouts in the "Layouts" gallery to preview the effect. Click the preferred layout. Experiment with the "SmartArt Styles" options. - 12
