    • 1). Cut 15 strips of duct tape measuring 6-1/4 inches each.

    • 2). Lay one of these strips with the adhesive side down on your work surface. Lay another piece down, also with the adhesive side down, on top of it so that the pieces overlap and the total width equals 3-1/4 inches. Turn the pieces over.

    • 3). Place two strips of duct tape on these pieces so that the adhesive sides are together, aligning all sides as evenly as you can. Repeat this process so you have two pieces measuring 6-1/4 inches by 3-1/4 inches.

    • 4). Lay these two pieces side by side, lengthwise. Take a strip of duct tape and tape the two pieces together so they can open and shut like a book. This forms the main section of the checkbook.

    • 5). Lay a strip of duct tape down, sticky-side up, on your work surface. Lay another strip down on top of this one, aligning all sides together as evenly as you can. Repeat this again so that you have two pieces.

    • 6). Take one of these pieces and line it up lengthwise along the edge of the main piece. Take a strip of unused duct tape and tape these pieces together. Take the last prepared piece and line it up lengthwise with the other edge of the main piece and tape it together.

    • 7). Turn the entire piece over. Fold up the top and bottom flaps. Cut a 2-inch long strip of duct tape. Fold it over the side edge of one of the flaps.

    • 8). Repeat step 7 for all of the edges of the flaps so that pockets for the checkbook and register are formed.
