How to Draw Stars and Constellations in Space
- 1). Draw small circles throughout the black paper to act as the basic guidelines for each of the stars. The key to this particular activity is not drawing all of the stars that you see in the picture as precisely as possible, but to depict each of your intended constellations so that they assume their distinctive shapes.
- 2). Fill in any remaining space on the paper with small circles to represent the rest of the stars as they are pictured in the reference guide. Depending on how zoomed in your photograph is on this particular area of space, you will need to maintain a consistent sprinkling stars in order to accurately fill up the page.
- 3). Color in each of the small circles with the white ink pen so that each one becomes more visible to the human eye. While each star emits a different amount of light, creating this detail is not as critical as realistically rendering each of the constellations.
- 4). Lightly color in any alternate areas on your page that might emit an array of color. Let all of the ink on the page completely dry, then erase any remaining visible marks that may appear on the page.
