3D Bulletin Board Ideas
- Start by determining what issues you want the 3D bulletin board to address. For example, if the bulletin board is being posted on an internal online site, you might want to talk about issues like employee safety or company policy. In that case you would want images that look like the company posters that hang in the employee lounge. On the other hand, if your bulletin board is being posted online to your personal website, you might want to include the latest news from your life, with scans of hand-written "journal" entries.
Now start listing the particular items you want to include. You will want to create blank square templates in a graphics program like Photoshop, into which you can paste text or images. Each time you update your bulletin board, you will create a new version of each image in the bulletin board using these templates. Scan in any images you want to include and save them to a folder on your hard drive. - An image-based bulletin board will primarily use images to convey the information or feeling you are trying to relate. With an image-based 3D bulletin board, you will have photos of proper procedures for carrying out a task, or photographs from that trip you took. And while you want a degree of organization, you don't want the image laid out in a neat grid pattern. In fact, you might want to give the impression of a collage, with images slightly overlapping each other.
- For a text-based bulletin board, you will want to have something fairly organized. A collage won't work here. However, that doesn't mean that all the notes need to be identical. You can create differences by type. For instance, for a company board you might have all important official company statements on something that looks like crisp heavy bond paper, while more casual notes like the company picnic announcement can be done on a background resembling a Post-it note.
