Do Wenger Military Watches Contain Lead?
- As part of Wenger Company, dating its start back to 1893, Wenger Watch S.A., the watch-making branch of Wenger, was established in October 1997.
- According to the company, the Wenger military watches contain no lead in their construction. Instead, the metal in the Wenger watch body and those Wenger models with metal chain straps are constructed from stainless steel. For example, the GST Chrono per Wenger "features a silver dial and stainless steel bracelet."
- Unlike the military watch line, some of the Wenger luxury watches for women include Swarovski crystals inside the timepiece. These crystals, consistent with Swarovski crystal production include lead crystal glass, which contains a minute portion of lead. Lead is used in a crystal to maximize light reflection and sparkle.
