Education is the key of success
It may not be a certainty, but it sure does play a great role in directing us towards a career path that we would want to take. From the time we are prepared by our parents for our first day of school until our last year in college.
Somebody said, "It is not what you know but who you know." This is important because people we know give us knowledge that we need to succeed. My rich friends associate with very successful people. They form a vast pool of knowledge that leaves the rest of us in the dust financially.
That's the reason why lot of parents in India are worried about getting their daughter married rather than her education. I can give you an example in my own life. When I was in India I wanted to get further education and fulfill my dream. On contrary to what society thinks, I wanted to pursue my career in the health care field to serve my own community. The support from my family, especially my grandfather, gave me the strength to keep my dream alive. I was 18 years old when we moved to the United States, and the transition to a country that is different culturally, academically, and politically was not easy.
The more education I received the broader my mind was able to grasps concepts which resulted in quicker understanding of new concepts. The understanding of new concepts is very important in running not just a home-based business, but any business. At the stage of mastery of the subject matter only then can I speak intellectually on the subject to make a decision for or against a business opportunity.
These are experts who are imparting their practical knowledge for a few dollars. They will have some good insight on how you can take action. You will also find that each of these sections and their action items builds upon each other thus creating a continuous process of improved learning and application of the knowledge as well.
