How to Save a Song As an MP3
- 1). Download and install Musicmatch Jukebox.
- 2). Open and run the Musicmatch Jukebox software by double-clicking on its desktop icon.
- 3). Insert the audio CD (with the songs that you want to save in MP3 format) into your computer's CD/DVD drive.
- 4). Click on "Options," then on "Settings" and then go to the "CD Lookup/Connectivity" tab. Check the box entitled "Enable CD Lookup service" and click "OK" to get the CD title and song information.
- 5). Click on the "Tools" option, then "Settings" and then on the "Recorder" tab in the title bar. Under the "Recording Quality" category, click on the "Recording Format" drop-down menu and select "MP3," then select "CD Quality (128 kbps)."
- 6). Click on "Tracks Directory" and the "New Tracks Directory Options" dialog box will pop up.
- 7). Click the "..." button in the "Copy Music to this Location" category and choose where the MP3 music files will be placed on your hard drive. Click on "Ok" and then "Ok" again at the "Settings" prompt.
- 8). Click the "Copy from CD" button and select "Yes" at the "Musicmatch Jukebox" prompt display.
- 9). Place a check by all of the songs you want to save on your hard drive in the "Recorder" prompt and then click the "Start Copy" button. The songs will be ripped from the CD, and then saved on your hard drive in the MP3 format. They will be saved in the location you chose in step seven.
