"My husband has lost interest in me." You never expect to hear yourself saying that. When you first walk down the aisle and become a wife you do so with visions of a long, healthy and very happy marriage. That's not always what life has in store for you though. You may find, after a few years or even months of wedded bliss, that your husband is losing interest and pulling back from you. It's disheartening and a bit scary when this happens. You're not sure of what's on your horizon or if there's anything you can do to change things back to the way they used to be when he loved you and showed it.

If your husband has lost interest in you, there's still hope for your relationship. You shouldn't give up or give in to the feelings of loss or confusion. Many marriages go through a period where the couple feels disconnected from one another. This can happen for any number of reasons. Some couples find themselves drifting apart when children arrive, when there is financial burdens or when work takes over their free time. Their relationship suffers and neither takes steps to bridge the distance. Over time they become less and less connected until it reaches a point where it feels like all the love is gone.

You have to take the initiative if you want your husband to reinvest himself emotionally in your marriage. There are several things you can do to draw him closer to you again including showing him the way you want to be treated. Quite often what happens in a relationship is the husband takes his behavior cues from his wife. If she gets busy and her interest is no longer focused on him, he'll follow suit and become engrossed with other things. Start paying more attention to your husband. Ask him about his day or help him with things around the house. Just focus on spending more time with him. You may find he'll follow your lead and do the same for you.

Virtually every married couple has toyed with the idea of having a regular date night. You should push for this with your spouse. Plan it and then surprise him with it. One on one time is essential for the two of you. You need to have an opportunity to talk without interruption and to enjoy each other's company. Put the effort in to arrange a date night soon with your husband. He'll be surprised and likely touched that you'd go to so much trouble just for him.
