Decide if you want to learn Armenian solely on line, as an adjunct to a book or other text source, or by learning from an experienced Armenian tutor. You can order textbooks and CDs on line, read informational websites about the Armenian language, or learn online from a tutor. (See Resources below.) - 2

Begin learning the alphabet. Armenian's alphabet is derived from Greek letters, and it is very different from the Latin alphabet used in the English language. (See Reference 3.) The 36 letters in the Armenian alphabet will take some time to recognize and pronounce. - 3

Talking with an Armenian speaker will help your pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar to improve. Listening to the language and producing it on your own will help you firmly cement the language in your mind.
