Crafts

• Crafts can be fun for any age group. Make prayer journals from scrap leather and construction paper. This project will encourage teens to pray daily. String beads together to make "What Would Jesus Do?" bracelets. Create a model of Noah's ark or the Ark of the Covenant out of clay. Another fun youth ministry idea is T-shirt decorating. This would be a good project to have the teens help with the preschoolers.
  
  

Choir

• Music is one of the highest forms of worship, and children of all ages enjoy it. Well-known children's songs can be taught to preschoolers, and more difficult songs can be taught to older children. Once a choir is formed, it can be used in the adult's service and can even start a traveling ministry. Being part of a group gives children a feeling of belonging and helps build self-acceptance.
  
  

Games

• Scavenger hunts are a good way to make a lesson memorable and to get excitable children out of their chairs for a few minutes. Each person has to gather "strange" things from around the church. The teacher keeps their meaning a secret until the scavenger hunt is over.
  
  Bible crossword puzzles, word searches, and trivia games are other good ways to reinforce the moral of a lesson. Bible drills are a good way to teach children the books of the Bible: The teacher calls out a Scripture verse, and the students frantically search for it. The student who finds it first stands and reads the verse out loud.
  
  

Drama

• Christmas isn't the only time to put on a church play. Teaching the Bible's lessons onstage is an effective way to bring the Bible to life. Plays can be downloaded online, bought at stores, or written specifically for your group. Designing costumes and set pieces can make rewarding projects for older youth groups. Plays are a great way to bring children and congregation together to worship God.
