    • 1). Open a graphics application such as Photoshop or GIMP (see Resource links) and open the photo that you want to turn into a halftone.

    • 2). Set the image and filter setting by going to the "Image" menu and select "Mode" from the options. Set the mode into "Grayscale." Next go to the "Filter" menu and select "Blur" from its option. Set the blur number to 20. Hit the "OK" button.

    • 3). Go back into the "Image" menu and select "Adjustments." Select "Brightness/Contrast" option under "Adjustments." Adjust the brightness and contrast until sides become blurry. Click on the "OK" button. Go back to the "Image" menu again and select "Mode" again. This time, select "Bitmap," and a conversion window will open.

    • 4). Convert the photo into a halftone by selecting "Halftone Screen" and then click the "OK" button.

    • 5). Fill in the "Frequency" box with a number below 10. The lower the number you use the bigger the dots will appear. Set the shape of the dots to "Round" and then click on the "OK" button.
