Wood Shed Building Kits - When You Don"t Know a Hammer From a Plunger

It was one of those dull grey days in late November and I knew just by the feel of it that we were going to get our first snowfall.
I had just finished putting a tarp over the barbeque and tying it down and figured I would do the same for the lawnmower.
I don't have a garage and putting this stuff in the family room was out of the question according to my wife so what else could I do? My brother in law suggested that I should get a shed or something to put my stuff in but I told him aside from the fact that it was just what I needed, I simply didn't have the money right now and I sure as heck couldn't build one on my own not knowing a hammer from a plunger.
I was bouncing all this off of my next door neighbor and he suggested I get one of those wood shed building kits.
He told me that these kits came with everything I would need, even pre-cut lumber and all the hardware for assembly in one package.
All I would have to do is follow the instructions and assemble the thing.
I broke out laughing! Oh my gosh, anything but that! I reminded him that having two small kids meant that I have spent a night or two trying to follow instructions just so Santa would be on time and I can tell you that the majority of the time I sat there in a daze.
My neighbor insisted that these kits were the way to go and the instructions were spot on and a breeze to follow.
In fact he even offered to help.
He laughed and said anything to keep that tarp from blowing into his yard all winter again.
Finally this was beginning to make sense.
I was told by my brother in law and my neighbor that I would be able to get these kits at the garden supply centers and I could even go online.
I decided to go online and found the perfect one, that turned out to be a lot less expensive than I first guessed it would be and had it shipped to the house.
And they were right.
The kit had everything from the pre-cut lumber to all of the hardware and my neighbor and I actually assembled the entire shed from start to finish in two weekends.
All that was left was the painting and my wife was so proud of my new accomplishment that she offered to help.
So my wife and I picked out the paint together and set a weekend aside and finished to rest of the project together.
