Aussie Kingdom
10 am - 8 pm with shows daily at 1 pm, 3 pm, 7 pm, South of Kiddieland
Take a journey Down Under at this interactive, educational show starring marsupial kangaroos, wallaroos and wallabies along with other Australian wildlife.

Central Ohio Model Railroad Club Exhibit
10 am - 9 pm, North of 17th Avenue
Fairgoers of all ages will love the elaborate, functional model railroad exhibit including a special just-for-kids Thomas and Friends section.

Chocolate Farm - 200 Years of Impacting, Educating and Caring for our Fairtastic Community NEW!
10 am - 9 pm, DiSalle Center
The Columbus bicentennial will be commemorated with a sculpted farm and surrounding community constructed entirely of 500 pounds of American-made chocolate.

Civil War Encampment
10 am - 9 pm, Rhodes Center Lawn

Kiddieland
Imaginations run wild at this open-air pavilion and air-conditioned gallery dedicated to creativity! Youth can participate in make-and-take crafts or performing arts activities, contribute to a large sidewalk chalk mural, browse artwork created by school-age Ohioans, and get their picture taken with interactive works of art as they are developed throughout the Fair.

Local celebrities, honorees, entertainers, the Fair mascot, Cowman, and special guests will pass through the Fair led by the All-Ohio State Fair Band & Youth Choir.

Sand Sculpture
Central Park
An enormous pile of 25 tons of sand will be transformed into a beautiful sculpture over the course of five days by Rock on Ice sculptors. Be sure to stop by for a photo any day of the Fair!

Time Warner Cable Technology and Engineering Education Showcase
8 am - 8 pm, Ohio Connections Academy Youth Center
Fairgoers of all ages will enjoy hands-on experiments and activities such as building rubber band powered rockets, racing air-powered dragsters, experiencing TV green screen technology, building with PVC pipes and more.

Check out the custom CCI Chopper, built by Paul Jr. Designs, featured on The Discovery Channel's "American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior." Also, don't miss your chance to meet the "Krew" from TruTV's "Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery," Aug. 2 - 5 only.

Take your taste buds for a ride with Seattle's Best Coffee. Come along and try a free taste of one of our delicious state fair-inspired iced coffees, such as the Elephant Ear Latte or the Cotton Candy Mocha. Then, spin the prize wheel, get your photo taken inside a giant red mug and take home some free samples.

Boy Scouts "Scouting for Food" Drive NEW!
July 28, 11 am - 4 pm, Cardinal Gate
Many Ohioans are at risk for hunger, being forced to choose between utilities or food. Help give back by donating canned and non-perishable food to go to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, which provides more than 76,000 meals each day. Donations between 4 pm and 8 pm can be dropped off at the Boy Scouts booth in the Youth Center.

Ohio Idol

Following months of scouring the state for Ohio's best vocalists, the Ohio Idol top 10 will compete for the opportunity to tour Ohio through 2013 and win $10,000 in cash and a recording contract from John Schwab Recording Studio.

Ohio State Fair 5K
July 29, 8 am, Crew Stadium
Experience the Ohio State Fair from end to end as you walk or jog your way past rides and animals at one of the most unique 5K routes you'll find! All participants get free Fair admission, free parking, a SkyGlider ticket and a Fairtastic goodie bag with the race entry fee of $38 in advance ($45 race day).
