Don"t Waste Another Minute: Have A Plan!

This is one of the biggest things I see that holds people back.
They fly by the seat of their pants through a workout.
Obviously, being in the gym is better than doing nothing, but, come on, lets at least have a plan! How will we do this? Number one, you need to set some goals for yourself and then write out exactly how you will achieve those goals.
If you're not sure how to do this, it is important to get help.
Skipping establishing goals and a plan to reach them will derail your efforts so much quicker than if you had an idea of specifically what, when, and how to make yourself the best.
Are you a person that walks into a gym and does an exercise (maybe a few sets of it) then wanders to something else that "sounds good" to do that day? We need to break this habit.
What happens is you get in a rhythm, you get comfortable, and you stopping seeing results.
This is because we naturally gravitate toward exercises we are good at and feel comfortable with.
There is nothing wrong with doing exercises we're good at, but have you heard the term "we're only as strong as our weakest link"? To be the best, to see consistent progress in what we do, we can't be insane.
I know it's not fun to struggle with something, to feel weak and un-athletic performing a movement in the gym, but that is how we will improve.
It challenges our mind and our body in a different way, improves our coordination and strength, and it is something most people avoid which is why they never realize their full potential! I know many people goal set.
Maybe you actually set goals already...
great! But, do you have a plan to reach those goals? Let's say one year from now you want to be at an ultimate point.
Do you know exactly where you want to be two weeks from now? A month? Tomorrow? Those little goals within goals and the plans to get there are what are going to keep us motivated and excited to continue working hard.
We can see our progress and feel ourselves getting better.
Plus, we get that sense of accomplishment that can give us a little boost to keep going and striving for what we really want in the end! Here's something that will help us to "Be The Best": 1.
Set your ultimate goal
Where do you really want to be? Be realistic, be specific, make it something achievable, but don't be afraid to reach a little bit! How long will it take you to get there? Are you committed? 2.
Set checkpoint goals
So, if you say you want to achieve your ultimate goal in 18 months, set (for example) monthly checkpoints.
Each month, how much progress do you want to make? A lot of people get overwhelmed by a big picture goal, when if you set a bunch of smaller ones it will help you stay on track and reach where you ultimately want to be! 3.
Create a daily plan
It would be pointless for us to set monthly goals and not have a daily plan of attack.
99% of the time we will lose sight of our goal, maybe be two weeks in to the month and get derailed.
We don't want this.
Write out specifically what you want to do each day...
write reminders or even something that gets you motivated.
Whatever it is, we need to create something that will keep us in line and working hard.
How important is it for you to achieve your goals? 4.
Reward yourself Don't reward yourself if you haven't earned anything.
However, if you go week by week and you make progress, successfully complete each of your daily plans, and don't cheat yourself...
make sure to give yourself a reward! Whatever it may be, allow yourself to enjoy that feeling of accomplishment.
5.
Create accountability
One of the best ways to stay accountable is to find someone with similar goals that you can do your work with, or check in with daily.
Most of us can't rely on ourselves personally to be honest and push as hard as we should.
Find a friend, a family member, a spouse, or even someone else at the gym who you can check in with and who will check in with you to make sure you're not straying from the path toward your goals! It's not easy, but it wouldn't be worth it in the end if it was! 6.
Evaluate and re-evaluate
Throughout the process, be evaluating what you are doing.
Is your plan working? Are you seeing results? What's been holding you back? How can you fix it? Ask yourself questions like these and change your plan accordingly.
Unless you realize your goal was completely unrealistic, leave that alone.
Instead, only readjust your plan or timeline.
Keep doing this, once a week, twice a month, whatever it may be to keep yourself motivated and keep your mind completely committed to achieving the goal you and I both know you want.
7.
Don't be afraid to ask for help
Having a support system is going to help you more than anything else.
Not many of us can go in to something alone and feel completely confident in what we are doing.
Sometimes it's just getting a little extra motivation or knowledge, but that might be the little thing that pushes you over the top.
Maybe you have set goals and you've made a plan, but you now realize that you had no idea what you were doing when you put that plan together.
It's important to ask for help so that you can do thing correctly the first time or, if you evaluate and see the need for changes, ask for help so you don't make the same mistakes a second time.
The last thing you want is to set a goal and be no closer to reaching it six months from now.
Ask for help, everyone needs it, but many of us are often too stubborn to realize it.
I'm here to help people "Be The Best.
" More than anything, I want people to realize their true potential and be committed to what they are doing.
I am so confident in the power of the mind and body that I can guarantee if you set goals (realistic, yet lofty), create an effective plan, and do everything you need to to follow that plan, that you can make your dreams come true.
It's all about who wants it the most and who is willing to make the sacrifices.
There are no shortcuts if you want to "Be The Best.
" Don't waste another minute: set your goals, develop a plan of attack, then act upon it TODAY!
