  Lawrenceville is a town in Gwinnett County, Georgia. As of 2008 census estimates, the population was 29,258. Lawrenceville is a town steeped in history. Incorporated in 1821, it is the second-oldest city in the metro Atlanta area, with many historic buildings and events. Oliver Hardy (of Laurel and Hardy fame) grew up there. The shooting of Hustler publisher Larry Flynt happened outside the courthouse in downtown Lawrenceville during one of his indecency trials.
