But since school days she had one thing, about her face that bothered her.
It was her nose.
Today when she is an elegant lady, an adult with a good job, she still feels that her confidence is still lagging slightly due to her being uncomfortable about her nose.
In the present times, it is very important that we are confident about ourselves, as its only then that we will be able to present ourselves better.
Keeping this in mind, she decided to go for a nose surgery.
To help her through I did some research and found some information about the entire procedure.
What is Rhinoplasty? A rhinoplasty is a nose surgery.
There are several people, men as well as women who are dissatisfied with the shape and size of their nose.
Also there are individuals who have to face breathing problem due to their nose.
A medical nose surgery helps in such cases to make the concerned patient breath properly.
This kind of cosmetic nose surgery also helps them to reshape and re-size their nose according to one's desire.
But surely one should have a realistic desire and consult their surgeon regarding the pros and cons.
There is vast difference regarding these two procedures.
There is a specific way to select your nose job doctor in order to have the assurance that you have chosen the best.
You should take your time in opting for the best and do not rush into such things.
What can be done? In rhinoplasty the following may be done: • A hump can be removed.
• The bulk in the tip of the nose can be removed.
• A depressed nose can be elevated by addition of cartilage, bone silicone implant.
• The tip of the nose can be elevated.
• The size of the nostrils can be reduced.
• The base of the nose and the nasal bones can be narrowed.
Procedure: The operational procedure depends on the reasons leading to the surgery such as- • You will be treated with a general or local anesthetic.
• To repair a broken nose, slender instruments are inserted into each nostril to gently push the bones back into their proper alignment.
If it is a bad break, then it may require a small incision, so that the surgeon can see to arrange the bone fragments properly in its correct place.
• The surgery can include both open and closed techniques for cosmetic reasons.
The "open" technique involves accessing the nasal bones through incisions made inside the nostrils and through the columella (the skin that separates the nostrils).
The "closed" technique involves accessing the nasal bones through incisions inside the nostrils.
Once the incisions are made, the skin is lifted away from the underlying bones and cartilages.
• Incisions are closed with stitches that dissolve.
There are certain advantages of nose surgery.
The incisions made during the reshaping of the external nose are usually made on the inside of the nose or in the collumela.
Hence after the nose surgery there are hardly any visible marks on the nose.
Again, the operation takes maximum 3 hours depending on the type of nose surgery.
In most cases, the surgery can be performed as an out-patient procedure and you might be allowed to leave the hospital on the very day of operation.
