How to Disconnect Outlook Express
- 1). Open Outlook Express.
- 2). Click "Send/Receive" from the main application window to download all your latest mail before disconnecting the application from the Internet. If you do not wish to download your latest mail or send your composed messages in the outbox, skip this step.
- 3). Select "File" and "Work Offline." Outlook Express (and Internet Explorer) will be taken offline. You will still be able to compose emails and read the messages downloaded to the client. Select "File" and uncheck the "Work Offline" option to take the application back online.
